We have come to recognize many new teaching strategies which are said to engage students better in learning than a regular lecture. Yet the common teaching practice is dominantly lecture-based. This workshop will provide an opportunity to analyze this scenario. Participants will discuss what are their experiences in their normal teaching practices which encourage or discourage them to reduce the transmission mode of teaching. The workshop will promote discussion around literature and practical cases to help participants analyze the potential of their teaching practice for student engagement
